GTX 780, GTX 770 and GTX 760 Ti

NVIDIA are apparently getting ready to release the next generation GPU’s which are still based on Kepler GPU’s but will be clocked higher to offer an incentive for the consumers to buy them. The GTX 780 is worthy of note because it is the consumer version of the K20A/C and is suggested to be 30% faster than your average GTX 680. It’s also supposed to have more RAM as well then the GTX 680 but is lower then the 6GB available on the Titan.

The GTX 760 Ti is based on the GK104 225 chip and the GTX 750 Ti is also based on the GK104 chip and has a 256-bit memory interface which looks to be similar to the GTX 670 performance wise. The GTX 770 is based on a faster GK 104 425 chip which is also a 256 bit unit and the word is that this seems to be a rehash of the GTX 680, in addition to that manufacturers will develop their own boards and cooling but the stock cooling solution on the card will resemble the ones that have come out on the Titan and GTX 780.  So far the GTX 780 has seen the light of day but we should be getting ready to see more come out from NVIDIA soon, check out the video below showing an unboxing of the GTX 780 by LinusTechTips.

Nvidia Geforce Titan, King of GPU’s – Outperforming GTX 690

A new GPU may be unveiled by Nvidia at the end of February if the rumors around the web are to be believed. It was originally thought that the current flagship of the GeForce 600 Series was not never intended to be de-facto leader of GPU’s everywhere since it was based on a cut down Graphics Core designated GK104, which consists of 1536 CUDA cores.

There were apparently two reasons for this, Nvidia was disappointed by it’s rival competitor  AMD’s HD7000 release and decided to hold back and benefit from this weakness, by giving consumers a stripped down GK104 instead of the GK110 which consists of a staggering 2688 CUDA cores, it actually consists of 2800 CUDA cores but a SMX cluster has been disabled which has been assumed to be due to manufacturing reasons. The other reason was that the GK110 core was not fully matured and would have been too expensive for wide-scale manufacturing, hence the core was only released to the professional market in the name of Tesla K20x & K20 which makes use of it’s double floating point and parallel processing capabilities . But now it is finally time for Nvidia to formally cement their hold on the performance crown and release the GK110 in the form of Geforce GTX Titan. According to reports from originating from Asia, it is said that this specific GPU demolishes everything in terms of performance, including the GTX 690 and  HD 7990. It is said that the retail price for this godly piece of technology is estimated to be $899 (£571.92) of hard earned cash.
